About Guinevere

  • Status: This animal is no longer shown on this website.
  • Species: Cat
  • Color: White/Black/Orange
  • Declawed: No
  • Housetrained: Yes

Guinevere is traditional Calico Cat mostly white with orange and black spots. She is six years old. She was originally received at a local shelter. She lived in her foster home for six months until she was adopted by a woman who had another cat and had recently lost her other cat. She also had children and grandchildren who visited at her home. She said that Guinevere made a smooth adjustment and got along well with everyone and with the existing cat. She was returned when the woman had to change jobs and moved to Southern California and was unable to take her with her. Guinevere has been back in the same foster home that was adopted from for a year now.

Guinevere loves to play in bowls of water and likes to drink running water out of a faucet or being poured out of pitcher or a glass. She likes to get up high and will climb to the top of a climbing post, on top of kitchen cabinets or the refrigerator. She is a big talker and will tell you all about her day. She does not like being confined in a cage or a carrier. She has big golden eyes and very thick dense fur. She is very healthy and strong and loves to be petted. She gets along well with small to medium dogs, other cats and children. She has not been around large dogs. She is current on all her shots, has been spayed, and is negative for AIDS/Leukemia. She is a wonderful funny cat and would make a wonderful companion. She is looking for a permanent forever home.

It is suggested as with all feline adoptions to keep a new companion indoors for a several weeks so they become familiar with the new surroundings. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
