Poly is calm, loving, affectionate, and gentle but will let you know if afraid as she will release some urine on herself. Is better with older children. Likes kittens more then adult cats. She has had a hard life by being abused and abandoned. Joe, her rescuer found her in Corsegold, starved and injured. Poly had a broken bone in her upper chest region. It healed but not correctly and does not hurt her but you need to pick her up gently.
Poly came into our program as her caretaker Joe was killed in a automobile accident in 2011. At the time of his death, Joe was in the process of adoption out 10 cats he had rescued, sought medical treatment for, and got them spayed/neutered.
It is suggested as with all feline adoptions to keep a new companion indoors for a several weeks so they become familiar with the new surroundings. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
